Robin Wassailing A5 Print

£10.00

“Here we come a wassailing among the leaves so green”

Robins and wassailing go hand in hand.

Meaning “good health”, to Wassail the ancient tradition of blessing the orchards on twelfth night to ensure a good harvest. Cider was spilt on the base of the trees and bread soaked in cider was left hanging in the branches for the Robins - also known as the spirits of the Orchards - to ensure their protection.

This lovely little Robin is perfect to decorate your home this festive season to wish good health for winter and the new year.

A5 print of an original water colour painting on 230gsm Archival Matt Paper.

Printed by me in my studio based in West Yorkshire.

Please be aware that colours may vary slightly from the photographs you see on screen, but I have done my best to match it as closely as possible.
